About So Chic

Hello there! My name is Natasha Hoquist. I am a mother to amazing twins, wife to the most loving husband, and proud owner of So Chic Events. I have been dedicated to event planning and design for about 5 years, but I've actually always been involved in planning and decor details as the go-to person for family and friends events for many years. I realized after I planned and designed my own wedding that being an event planner and decorator is what I was meant to do. As a DIY Bride, from beginning to end, I was involved in every detail....in the midst of also being a bride! Yes, I know, you are probably wondering "HOW! It's so much work"......finding the dress, renting the tux, booking the venue, sending the invitations, the bridal shower, the bachelor/bachelorette parties, selecting and arranging the flowers, decor and design, hair and makeup, the DJ; There is a lot that goes into planning a wedding, or any event for that matter. And yes it's a lot, but when you like what you do, it's not work, it's something that you enjoy. 

Though I enjoy planning and design, most of all, what keeps me loving what I do, is what happens when all the planning and styling is done, when all the details are tended to, everything is in place, and it's time for the event. It's seeing all the smiling faces, people dancing, the "I do's", the "happy birthday's". It's knowing that I had a part in creating a special moment in someone's life and the lives of their family and friends; it's watching people enjoy the space they are in. That's what it's all about....That's why I don't mind putting in the work....That's why I love what I do!
